Grief isn’t something to be fixed, but rather to be witnessed and felt. In a grief-phobic world, pausing to feel and move grief through the body often feels forbidden, leading to negative feelings of shame, guilt, and a lawless playground for the inner critic to run wild. Along with several questions, the one most often asked is, “Am I doing this right?” Despite what society has taught us…there is no wrong way to grieve; the only importance is that we actually allow ourselves to grieve.
Grieving is not a one size fits all gig, which is why this series was created. This 3-week gathering is created to teach you practical ways to ride the waves when grief asks you to surf. Illuminating what you feel is valid and your body’s innate wisdom can most certainly guide you through the biggest transformative periods in your life. You’ll begin to build a personal relationship with your grief through awareness, physical outlet, be permitted to feel, and be provided tools to use as you’re met with this forever passenger.
Join me to learn why we avoid death, how other cultures honor and express grief, how loss changes your chemical makeup, explore ways to express your grief, experience what it feels like to truly be witnessed, and participate in embodied movement by tapping into your intuition to move grief out of the body.
